On the December 18, 2006, the DNS Blocklist ORDB.org has been shut down. As of March 25, 2008, ORDB.org started confirming all requests done to the blocklist, which will result in the incorrect blocking of emails.
It is therefore highly recommended not to use relays.ordb.org in GFI MailEssentials. Proceed as follows:
- Open the GFI MailEssentials configuration.
- Expand the ‘Anti-Spam’ node -> ‘DNS Blocklists’ properties.
- Under ‘DNS Blocklists’ select ‘relays.ordb.org’ and click on the ‘Delete’ button.
- If ‘relays.ordb.org’ was enabled, you may want to enable a different DNS blocklist from the list.
Notes:
- If the relays.ordb.org blocklist is enabled in the GFI MailEssentials configuration, GFI MailEssentials will block all the emails which are processed against the list, even if such emails are not spam.
- The DNS blocklist relays.ordb.org will not be included in builds of GFI MailEssentials which are released after December 18, 2006.
