The Kaspersky engine can be configured to detect spyware and adware in the files scanned by DownloadSecurity.

This requires downloading an additional set of definition files. To enable this, you need to run the Kaspersky SuperSecure tool. Download this tool from http://ftp.gfi.com/old/KasperskySuperSecureUpdate.zip

With this tool you can configure the GFI DownloadSecurity Kaspersky engine to use the Kaspersky SuperSecure definition files. The Kaspersky SuperSecure definition files detect known Spyware & Adware. Note if you have configured GFI DownloadSecurity to automatically delete viruses, spyware and adware will also be automatically deleted.

To use the Kaspersky SuperSecure definition files, select the 'Kaspersky SuperSecure' option and press OK. At the next scheduled definition file download, the SuperSecure files will be downloaded.

To revert back to the default set of Kaspersky definition files select the 'Kaspersky Default' option and press OK.

To download the new set of definition files now, restart the 'GFI virusdef updater' service from the Services control panel.
