How can I set the location for the global and personal phone books for the GFI FAXmaker Fax Message Form from the client machine?

  1. Open the registry editor (regedit.exe or regedt32.exe).
     
  2. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI FAX & Voice\FAXmaker\Configuration Mappings\fmclient.ini\PhoneBookDirs].
     
  3. The location for the Global phone book is specified in the entry "Global" which must be set as String value and must have a value of the path where the global phone book is located. 
    For Example: 'Global=X:\FAXmaker\Phonebks'.
    Global phone books should be placed on a shared drive to allow access for all users.
     
  4. The location for the Personal phone book is specified in the entry "Personal" which must be set a String value and must have a value of the path where the personal phone book is located. 
    For Example: 'Personal=C:\Windows\FAXmaker\Phonebks'
     
  5. Close the registry editor & restart the GFI FAXmaker Fax Message Form.

  1. Open the file FMCLIENT.INI found in the Windows directory
